Wow what a day! A huge THANK YOU to Pets Supplies Plus in Lewisville and everyone who came out for our Meet N Greet today! A special thank you to our foster families and volunteers who gave up a beautifull summer afternoon for the Danes! We had a great crowd and it is always great to see friends new and old. We also have some FURever homes found today! First was FRANCES who found the perfect FURever home with a family who loves her and is keeping up her training and helping her shine like the gem she is! Next was RILEY! We had so many Danes come in the last month we got a little creative and had an approved adopted agree to foster…. And wouldn’t you know it was a perfect match! RILEY started his new life in rescue and immediately he adopted his foster family! Now known as Leo he is in his FURever home with a great dad and kids who adore him! Wooo hoo for Fran & Leo! One more……
A little over a year ago I met a lady whose beloved Dane had passed as it was his time. She came to Danfest 2011 to donate some food and items she could not use. She and her husband knew it would be time before they would be ready to open their hearts up to another dane. As she cried our Kayrene took time to talk with her and she spent some time at Danefest. It was shortly after that this couple became a short term vacation foster, and eventually a regular foster home. Without a personal Dane I expected them to adopt quickly. It has been a year and several fosters have come and gone……I did not expect it but a sweet girl named LUCY has stolen their hearts! So it is with much happiness that I say LUCY has found a wonderful FUREver home! This is not where this story ends…… Because Lucy now has a new job! Lucy is now a foster mom too! Her family has made room for another colossal crate and already has a foster recovering from surgery! Lucy will help get him ready for his FURever home…. Wooooo hoooooo !
Congrats to all our new FURever homes! It was a busy day but a great one for all our adopted Danes! A huge thank you to everyone for helping to pull this all off today….. Soo wonder if anyone else will be find a FURever home tomorrow?
