This funny boy had an emergency trip to the hospital this morning (Sunday, July 9th) after bloating sometime during the night. He arrived in shock, pale and with no radial pulse. After relieving the gas, Kaupili’s stomach had not twisted which is what saved his life. Kaupili will now be in a specialized foster home to monitor his condition over the next few days. Kaupili is still in danger over the next 48 hours. His vet bills have already reached over $1,500. Update: Kaupili bloated again last night, It was obvious that portions of his stomach had died and he lost his battle this morning. This is very devastating to us as a group and to the fosters that have taken care of him.
