SPECIAL NEEDS: Ox is a 3 1/2 month old male dane puppy. He appears to have a sight deficit (possibly juvenile cateracts) and will need to go to a home who can provide for his special needs. He will only go to a home that has been "puppy" approved. GDRNT does not guarantee that any puppy under the age of 6 months is a pure dane; therefore, adopters need to be happy with the puppy whether he is 50 pounds or 150 pounds when full grown. Update: Ox has seen the opthomologist. He is on eye drops and ointment. The cataracts will either reabsorb or if mature can easily be
removed. He needs to go back to the opthomologist in 6 months. Adopter must be willing (and will sign a contract saying so) to take him to the opthamologist as recommended and willing to get the eye surgery done if needed. Currently it looks like the cataracts are starting to reabsorb.
