Divas Dudes & Danes is a casual humans only evening where GDRNT friends new and old can come together to support a cause we all care about. A fun event that assures our mission can continue.

There is so much more to this event than a fun evening. We will have great food featuring the infamous fajita bar with tons of fixings, fellow dane lovers, cash bar and some awesome silent auction items.

Over the last 14 years we have rescued over 1,622 danes and given them a second chance at Happy Tails. 97% of the danes that come to us are heartworm positive requiring expensive treatment, most are not spayed/neutered, all get updated vaccinations and some are very very sick. Average it out and we spend approximately $1,000 on every dane that comes through our program. Even with the generous discounts given to us by some of the very best veterinary offices in the area, it still averages ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS A DANE! There is no way all costs could be covered by adoption fees! Fundraising allows us to continue pulling not only the apparently healthy danes from area shelters but also those who are sick, injured or have special needs.

Great Dane Rescue of North Texas is 100% privately funded. We get zero tax or government money, we get zero support from AKC, CKC or any other "Pure Breed" Groups. Our "income" comes from dane loving, kind hearted generous people who donate.

Money raised at Divas Dudes and Danes allows us to continue what we have been doing for more than 14 years, and assures our future while having a little fun.

Rising Above Great Dane Funding

Our previous adopters are eligible to apply for financial support if their Great Dane needs vet care that cannot be afforded due to economic hardship and extenuating circumstances; even if the adopters are outside of Rising Above’s coverage area.Rising Above Great Dane Funding | Facebook
