This Day of Rememberance

September 11, 2001 has a profound impact on many families. This day has always invoked mixed emotions for me… while we lost no family members it changed the fabric of my family in many ways. September 11, 1997 is also the day my son was born. As he has grown older we have opted to use this day to re affirm a commitment to making a positive change in some way. This is not a one day thing but an affirmation that we will make this a better place with every chance. That is what GDRNT is about. So today we are reminded of our mission:

Great Dane Rescue of North Texas, Inc. is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical attention and foster care while seeking permanent homes for abused and abandoned Great Danes in the North Texas area.

Today I ask you to consider how you are making a positive change in your world. While we are always looking for fosters, volunteers and donors to join us in our mission, today we just ask that you consider the message posted two years ago by BetheChangeInc, consider the statement “I will…”
