Many of these emails are well intended but either out of date or duplicates. This week was the same and wanted to share with all of you how you can stay informed of recalls, safety alerts or report issues to the FDA. Information about drug interactions, shortages, food recalls and general health and safety information is posted on the FDA Website.

Recalls & Safety Alerts of pet foods and related items lists Recalls. Recallas are actions taken by a firm to remove a product from the market. There are three types of recalls. Recalls may be conducted on a firm’s own initiative, by FDA request, or by FDA order under statutory authority.
