Join GDRNT at the Great Rescue Round Up Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 to 4:00, and help assure your pets return. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted just beneath the skin between the shoulder blades. It is just like a shot! Most dogs don’t even know anything happened. Should your pet get lost any shelter or vet office can scan your pet with a hand held wand that will “read” the microchip. An ID number will come up that when put in the data base will provide your contact information. There is also a tag with the number and an 800 phone number so anyone who finds your dog can call the 800 number and you will be contacted

The Great Rescue Round UP will be an all breed rescue event held at the Fort Worth Stockyards. (In front of the Livestock building) Groups from over 20+ rescue breeds will have booths set up to show off their wonderful, adoptable canines and can discuss their dogs in detail with potential adopters. Each of these groups are nonprofit organizations run 100% by volunteers and 100% on donations.

GDR will be providing $15 Micro Chips, have danes waiting for adoption and some personal danes with their owners so you can learn about what is to be rescued by a Great Dane
