Many of you have been following Hope’s story of recovery. You have shed a tear when you watched her video, donated to her care.. so now please REJOICE with us because We are so happy to announce that Hope has found her FURever home with a local couple! If you were at Highland Village this weekend you saw her posing next to the picture of her first day in rescue…. Many people did not believe it was the same dog and I can see why! Hope’s story is not unique. Each of our dogs come to us with baggage, Hope’s happened to be very visible and fortunately she was able to drop her bags at the door of the shelter and shine! What is NOT unique about Hope is that her adoption fee covers only a small percentage of her veterinary costs to rescue. We have the best vets in the metroplex who provide us with a very generous discount but even with all that Hope’s Medical Bills exceeded $1,500!!! Some of this was the necessary extended ICU hospital stay when she first came to rescue, this was on top of the basic spay, medications, antibiotic and ointments she needed. Hope’s Foster mom is a volunteer (everyone at GDRNT is a volunteer) there is no dollar amount that can be attached to the love, care and tenderness she used to make Hope well. If you donate to GDRNT all your money goes directly to the danes. If you would like to donate to help danes like Hope you can subscribe for as little as $5 a month or make a one time donation by clicking on https://www.danerescue.net/how-can-you-help
