Spring has finally sprung in North Texas and so have a ton of great events with GDRNT! Be sure to check our Calender for all our events so you can mark your calendar. Events are also listed on the EVENTS section of our Facebook page.

This Saturday, noon to 4:00 we will have a Meet & Greet at Watauga Petco. at, 8004 Denton Hwy #132 Watauga, TX 76148. Map and store information is on our Calendar page. Meet n Greets are not adoption events but are great a great place and time to learn more about GDRNT, life with Great danes, and our Adoption/Matchmaker Program. We will have personal danes and their humans to answer questions about being owned by a dane and some foster dogs looking for FURever homes.

Next Saturday we will be offering $20 Micorchips for your pets at the Pet Fair sponsored by the awesome girls at Trinity/Euliss High School GAP . This great group of high school ladies do some outstanding things and even if your pet is microchipped they will have low cost vaccinations, nail trims, baths and fun things for your pet! So come out and support GDRNT and a great group of Teenagers doing tons of good!

This weekend I also want to give a tail wag to a huge friend of GDRNT Paw Prints by Laura Alton who has been seleceted to particpate in Paw Prints Art Show at the Dallas Zoo Stroll among tents filled with fine art, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, wood carvings, photography, and hand-crafted jewelry while viewing wildlife in natural settings. Admission to the Paw Prints Art Show is included with Zoo admission. Be sure to find Laura and let her know you are a friend of GDRNT!

In addition to fine art, the Paw Prints Art Show exhibition area will feature unique paintings created by Dallas Zoo residents through animal enrichment programs. Proceeds from the sale of animal art will benefit the Zoo’s conservation programs. Enjoy live music with Russ Lowry and the Expressions at Cat Green. Relax at the wine patio overlooking Flamingo Pond. Dine at restaurants and food carts throughout the park. Or just enjoy a day at the Zoo.
