Craft Fair

We will be presenting a booth at the Crafts & Collectibles Fair hosted by the Irving High School Choir Booster Club.

Here are some of the ways you can help:

Emergency Status

We are full to the brim and are currently running in emergency status. We have 5 danes in emergency boarding and we expect at least 2 more by Saturday. Each dane costs us $52.50 to board for one week. That's $262.50 per WEEK to board 5 danes.

How can you help?

1. We need funds for emergency boarding. $52.50 per dane per week.

2. We need qualified foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more danes we can save. If you are a past adopter and have been thinking of is the time to act.

Dogged Determination

DFW's ABC affiliate WFAA Channel 8 ran a special story by reporter Cynthia Vega entitled "Dogged Determination" about Gary, our Dane that was shot in the face but is now doing better.

Our danes are monkey proofed

monkey proof danes Just a fun picture taken by one of our fosters at one of our special events. Blackjack (male dane) seems to like the monkey! What other rescue group can say their danes are tested with monkeys? Ha Ha!

going to Idahopottybreakgoing home
We are at capacity! Danes will begin to die in area shelters if we do not act immediately. We transported 12 Texas danes to a reputable rescue in Idaho who has WAITING ADOPTERS. This cost us $1500 for rental of van & gas.

Highlights of DaneFest 2002

Our first Annual DaneFest with over 65 people and 6,082 pounds of dane there was a smashing success!!!!

All said that it was well worth the drive and they are glad they came. We had over 55 danes and several other breeds were represented too. I think many owners were surprised at how much their danes enjoyed swimming in and chasing each other around and through the pond.

Not raining in Burleson. rain expected until tonight. We are having danefest - come on out! We're ready !
