North Texas Tornado Info for Pets and Humans

Normally this is the point in the year where we ask you to consider GDRNT for your end of year charitable giving. In light of the events this week and so many who have lost so much we ask that you consider one of the credible established Disaster charities for either humans or animals. There are many asking for donations, some well established with a track record of helping, some well intended folks trying to help and sadly some scams. I am sharing some info put together by WFAA of known reputable charities.. this list is not complete but a good starting point. WFAA will update the list as time goes on.

Lost & Found Pets from North Texas Tornadoes has listed good info for reuniting animals and families as well as all the area shelters, Facebook pages and websites to help. There is a free link to create a poster if you need it. Families looking for missing furkids will FIRST look at local shelters. Remember if you are looking for a furkid they may have traveled and be a a neighboring shelter. If you FIND a wandering pet please be sure to contact the closest shelter .. please do not remove the animal from the local area. At some point local Officialls may set up remote animal holding locations and we will forward that info as we get it.

There are many pets animals who have been separated from their families.... As of right now all jurisdictions are asking that animals be taken to the local animal shelter. Several veterinary clinics have opened their doors for injured animals and owners who need safe boarding while they procure safe housing. I am also sharing a list of area shelters, Lost pet Pages and information for finding your pet, or found pet owners.

IF you are a GDRNT adopter or foster and in need please email or call and we will do what we can to help you.
