This Thursday, December 6, 2012 – 5:00pm to 8:30pm GDRNT will be at “Christmas in the Park” with the City of Murphy. The park is located at 206 N. Murphy Rd. Murphy, TX 75094. Come Meet some adopted personal danes and the people they adopted! We will also have information about GDRNT, our danes, the adoption process. Make a donation for a limited number of tshirsts, sweatshirts & Magnets! The City of Murphy says: Families can enjoy each other’s company as they join other family groups in taking advantage of the festivities and activities which will be available during the ceremony. These include free photos with Santa Claus, a crafts and activities area for kids, live reindeer exhibit and the awe-inspiring laser light show at the end of the night’s activities.“For entertainment, local choirs will open the event by singing traditional Christmas carols and other selections to set the mood up until 7 p.m., when the Mayor and Council will light the Christmas tree. Then, following the treelighting, Tim Urban, American Idol finalist from season nine, will perform for a full hour,” The event is free, as is the parking at Tom Kimbrough Stadium and Murphy Marketplace, with continuous free shuttle service provided from those locations to the event site.
