A Special FURever Home

Imaging having lived with a family for most of your life and suddenly your family is gone and you are homeless. So it was with Lady who was a lucky girl with a loving home until tragedy struck her family and she found her way to GDRNT. Lady is one of the Grand Dame's of Rescue and at the young age of 9 this sweet girl found herself in a loving foster home looking for her FURever family.

Seniors can be hard to adopt out. Not many families come to rescue looking for older harder to adopt danes, so when we get an application specifically asking for a hard to adopt dane it is with cautious optimism that we walk thru the approval process. This family never wavered from the decision to adopt a senior. They have a standing history of rescuing special needs, experience with all sorts of challenges and a desire to make life better for sweet soul who needs a home.

Lady knew this was her family and has made herself right at home! Like most mature pets she was "move in ready" and "ready for love".

Mature pets generally have their house manners mastered, know the shoes are yours, the fluffy floor pillow is theirs. They like leisurely strolls, quiet evenings and hanging out with their people. While it is fair to assume that you may not have as much time with a senior as a younger dog your quality time will make it priceless.
