A little Tenderness goes a Looonnngggggg Way

Like so many of our fosters I like to document my fosters progress on "film". Some of you have seen my feeble attempts to cohesively put a slide show or movie together that shows off the progress of our danes. You can see them on our YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DaneRescueNet. Somehow I never feel like I quite capture the whole story or personality of our dogs. I want the videos to help debunk the Myth that Rescue Dogs are just too damaged, or have too many issues that can't be "cured". I have heard it all..... But nothing could be further from the truth. Isabelle is a great example of a dane who had every reason to fear humans, to not trust touch, to hold a grudge. Isabelle's wounds were horrific by any standards yet when shown a loving foster home, proper care and kindness she left all her baggage at the curb and reflected the Love back to her foster family. Today someone sent me this video by Andy Mathis of Georgia. It isn't a dane and it is a story many of us are familiar with but it is a beautiful one. We could change the dog to one of our fosters, and the human could be any of our volunteers but the outcome is amazing. http://youtu.be/jh_yenTVZ5s
