An Update on Gypsy's Happily Ever After

Here at GDRNT, we love getting updates on Danes from their furever families! Some of you may remember Gypsy, who spent over a year with rescue waiting for the right home. She was adopted a few months ago, and her family recently sent an update (and gave us permission to share!). Thanks to her family for loving her and for sharing your story!

We decided to change her name to Gracie. We were thinking: new life, new start, new name. After spending 15 months with a wonderful foster family, Gracie has spent 2 1/2 months now in her new home with us. We could not be happier. She is nothing but pure sweetness and gives so much love and brings us so much joy. She and her sister Lily love to play but also to lay around together. They are wonderful companions. Lily loves to kiss Gracie and Gracie loves to pull Lily's collar off when they wrestle. Our friends can't wait to meet her and come over to see this gentle giant of a girl. She is a great ambassador, and has even helped another family decide to adopt a Dane. All 3 of our grown kids love her and treat her like the sister she deserves to be. Dad loves her gentleness, her hugs and how she fits our household so well. Also, that she never meets a stranger. He says she is the most well balanced dog he has ever met. We are still looking for a downside to Gracie, there is nothing we have found so far that is a negative. As for mom, she is definitely the dog for me. I call her my soul sister. We are so much alike. We really just want to lay around and love on each other. I have never met a sweeter dog. I feel adopting Gracie has been one of the best decisions of my life. We adore her.
