we have been invited to participate in an Easter Sunday Parade. The event is on Sunday, April 24, in the Hollywood Heights neighborhood close to White Rock Lake and the parade starts at 3pm. The parade itself is not very long, only 3-4 blocks long. But after that there will be an egg hunt for kids, another one for adults, and after that party time.

Hi everyone. There is a Barktoberfest in Killeen on the 9th at the Killeen Community Center, and Andy K. Wells Trail. It runs from 8 am to 4 pm. The good news is there's a new group here in the Killeen area: Great Dane Meet-up, you can find them on facebook. We're are all trying to meet there around 11 am.

I haven't met with them yet...they had a meet-up last weekend and a lot of Danes showed up. So, it will be fun. Please come out and join us if you're in the area. The community Center is at the corner of W.S. Young and Veteran's Memorial Highway. The festivities are in the back.

Samantha and I will be out with Stormi, we are helping with the Mastiff rescue tent.

Was wondering if there would be a GDRNT presence as well.

Wanted to check and see what y'all thought about if I came to Danefest and took pictures, then could put them on my proof site and sell them
and donate all the profit back to Danefest! Let me know what you think!

I saw the information on 2008 and 2009 and was wondering if it will take place again and the details. Also what is the minimal age for your dane to attend?

Its that time again everyone!

Our annual members meeting for all paid members will be held on
January 30th at 2:00 pm in Dallas Texas.
Address will be provided once your membership app and dues are received via email.

Even if you can not attend the meeting this is a great way to support all of the good work that rescue does!
Every bit of your annual dues goes to help the sick, injured and neglected dogs that we are able to save from death row.
All paid members are welcome to attend the meeting. This will give you a chance to meet your 2010 board members

OK everyone! Don't forget to come out to Dog Days of Denton May 30th! That's next weekend! I know it may SEEM like Denton's far away for some of you guys, but it's NOT! It's a big fun event with lots of fun dog stuff and kid stuff and grown up stuff. There will of course be some rescue groups, but mostly there's some really awesome pet stuff vendors, music, food, games for kids, demonstrations... and the ever awesome Denton Spokesdog Costume Contest. The park is huge and there's always a ton of people and dogs, so load everyone up in the car and come up here for a day.

We had two microchipping events going on today. One at Dirty Dawgz in North Dallas from noon to 3. Many thanks to my girl Tiffany for helping us out with that one. She doesn't normally volunteer with GDRNT, but when we needed an extra chipper I bummed a tech from work and she was it. They did great, microchipped 21 dogs and educated some folks.
