GDRNT will be offering $15 Micro chipping at the Dog Days of Denton Celebration Saturday June 4th, from 8:30 to 2:00. This year dogs and their best friends can start their weekend fun in the evening shade at the Dog Days of Denton Celebration “yappy” hour on Friday, June 3rd and again on Saturday morning and afternoon June 4th. Festival hours this year are Friday, June 3, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 4, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Festivities take place in the north end of Quakertown Park near the Denton Senior Center and swimming pool at 321 E. McKinney, just a few blocks northeast of the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square.

Join GDRNT at the Great Rescue Round Up Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 to 4:00, and help assure your pets return. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted just beneath the skin between the shoulder blades. It is just like a shot! Most dogs don't even know anything happened. Should your pet get lost any shelter or vet office can scan your pet with a hand held wand that will "read" the microchip. An ID number will come up that when put in the data base will provide your contact information.

Great Dane Rescue will be offering $15 Microchip Clinics the next two weekends at some fun pet fairs. If you have been meaning to have your fur kids microchipped now is a great time. Click on the Calendar on the right for specifics

With spring storms come spring storm damage.... it seems like we are hearing from a quite a few people with storm damage that enabled their dog to get out. One way to increase the chances of your fur kid finding their way back to you is a microchip.

It is that time of year when needs are high and funds are low …sooooo on Saturday December 18th from 10:00am to 6:00pm there will be a Dawg wash and Chip clinic. Bring your dawg and pay for a self wash and one of our volunteers will wash your fur baby!
A bath is just $14.50 and all tips go straight to rescue. A portion of the daily proceeds will be donated to GDR by Dirty Dawgz!

Dirty Dawgz Self-Serve Dog Wash & Spa is hosting several low-cost microchipping clinics benefitting Great Dane Rescue of North Texas (meaning money raised from these events will go directly to GDRNT's vet bills!).
