So what do think....

....I'm Suzy with two Dane brother puppies, Barnum and Bailey, also my three year daughter, Olivia. My questions and concern is how Olivia and the puppies play. Olivia likes to lay on the ground, rolling around and the puppies lick and roll right along wih her. Everyone is very gentle with the other and this is a favorite for all three. The pups step all around her and somehow never on her. Olivia usually starts this kinda play session but sometimes the puppies do too and it looks a bit bullyish although it delights my daughter. I supervise and make sure somethings don't happen (Barnum is a hair puller and Bailey 'paws'). I interupt that stuff and tell Olivia to say, 'NO' and make her get up when it happens for a few minutes 'time out' explaining we don't want them to think that is ok. She could care less (try explaining to a three year old how big they will get! I've showed her pictures and she said, 'Barnum, Belly (Bailey) not a horse...we are getting a horse...oh thank you, thank you'. Oh boy.

Anyway, I'm worried these dogs will do this to other kids and as the pups grow this kind of play will be a problem even with Olivia. I want my dogs to have great behavior around anyone in our home and who they encounter in the community. Hubby says, 'let them be'....I'm not sure. What do you think?
