WE adopted Meg/ Katie back in november and we absolutely adore her ( and let me make that crystal clear first and fore most) , however, she is destroying everything. She has demolished the patio furniture, chewed up three crib mattresses, several comforters, tons of shoes, books, electronics, ect. They have a dog door which confines them to the computer room but also lets her sneak stuff outside. She is also digging now. I have bought her numerous chew toys but as soon as she is done with it she moves onto something else. She only does this while I am at work. She is only alone for six hrs a day max five days a week. I have tried bitter sprays and they do not phase her. She minds very well and knows immediately when i get home that shes in trouble when there is chewed up stuff everywhere. But now her and my other dane have no bed because she chews everything up. I have a very sturdy blanket that she cant quite tear up so thats all they have to sleep on and it kills me. But I am running out of comforters and cant keep buying crib mattresses. Has anyone else dealt with this or have any suggestions or know any good trainers? I have never had this hard a time breaking a dog of a bad habit but she is resistant to everything.
