I have owned 1 dane in the past and fostered 3 currently I have a 17 week old named Niela and I have been working with her since i noticed the problem. Her kennel and food dishes are in my room and have been since she came home but over at least the past month I got the chance to notice she growls at the kids ranging from 1-7 when they get anywhere near her while she eats she has even growled at me a few times which was unexpected she is very mommy oriented I can let her off a leash and she will stay within 5 foot of me unless we are playing fetch she has even broke playtime to come back to me when i called her though I have not worked with her on recall yet so for her to growl at me really concerns me. I have been petting her and talking to her while she eats and I have been hand feding her with her head in the bowl still i have even had my kids do it she never growls when eating from your hand but does if u pet her while she is eating. I have no idea how to break this behavior i have never had this issue with any dog let alone any dane lol. Any of your advice would be appreciated.
