Hello Everyone,
We are in need of some advice. Our 3 year old female dane, Athena, has become increasingly axious over the last few weeks. We have crated her for her entire life, but recently, acts life her life is coming to an end if she is left in there. She pants heavily and literally shakes like a leaf when we leave her. Some reasons may be because our male dane, Sampson, died this past year, and my husbad was laid off for a few months. This behavior started soon after he went back to work. It is to the point where she has destroyed the hard plastic tray at the bottom, chewed on the wire crate to crimp the metal, and then squeesed her big great dane body out a 4" gap. She really hurt herself pulling this stunt, and I am worried that she will hurt herself worse, and destroy our house. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
