Welcome Home Drake

The newest Longhorn transplant has arrived in the Sooner State. His manners are impeccable... so far. He sits, lays down, and stays.... so long as we stay in the same room. Oh and apparently, the sound of my cell phone ringing wakes him up from naps. We had an incredibly funny outing to pick up food on our way home. We had our first experience of being stared at while in public with Drake. We just started laughing, because people really don't know what to think. Added to the fact that Drake was pulling us around the store.

We've had him for less than 12 hours, which is not very long, but I can tell you this boy is a sweet heart!! Now I just wish we knew what command his Foster Mom used to get him in the crate.... he's resisting every command we know. I am hoping the treats will convince him..... he is playing around with them. Snatching the ones closer to the door. I am hoping he tries a little farther in next time!

Ps. He's already treated us to a Manly display of belching. Should that worry me? Or is that normal for a dane?
