My trainer has a summer day camp; (Camp B.A.R.K.K Building Awesome Responsible K-9 Kids). I was asked if I could 'lend' one of the boys for a teenage camper who is interested in becoming a trainer. I think it is a good puppy experience for Barnum...he met other dogs, kids, swam, did something called freestyle dance?, clicker training ect. Here is a link to a news report done on the camp (Barnum is not in the video...he is too young for the agility part of camp).

Bailey and I continue our evening clicker classes and both dogs have mastered sit, drop and stand:)
1- boys showing off 'sit'
2- Bailey sleeps with his tonguue out...both have beds but often sleep on the bare floor.
3- Barnum getting ready for camp.
Again, sorry for my blurry pics...at camp they took really pics and videos...I'll see if I can get/post them.

they
are just too cute. hard to resist those puppy faces.
congrats on taking them to class and making them good ambassadors for the breed.
so cute
I love the pic of Bailey sleeping with his tongue out. Just adoreable!
Thank you for the reply...
... I really HATE training...it is more about ME sticking with it because B&B love clicker training sessions. I really enjoy the snuggle with pup/rub belly/spoil sessions ect. BUT I do it because I want them to always be welcomed and comfortable at our home with guests, along our sidewalks, parks ect. My goal is to complete basic obedience and get both pups their good canine citizen cert. It's kinda like teaching my daughter to swim. I HATE, HATE, HATE putting on a swimsuit....BUT three days a week I do it so she can learn to swim. You just gotta do it.
Sweet Bailey...
...He is just 100% lover. As soon as he mets eyes with ANYONE he immediatley rolls on his back and you know exactly what he wants...a belly rub. He is hard to lease walk only because of this...intant drop roll, rub my tummy routine ANYTIME someone passes. It can take 30 min to walk 200 ft! Clicker training is tough too because regardless of the yummies you have, he still just rolls over for some loving...'come on...put the treats and clicker down and rub my tumms! Bailey is all love!
Awww
The pictures are just toooo cute!

So cute!
They are both adorable, but I think I may have a crush on Bailey. He's a handsome boy!
Bailey is a ...
...big sweet baby. Barnum is the wild one!
Let Bailey know...
Be sure and let Bailey know that when... oops.. I mean if... he comes to live at my home with Furgus... he can sleep on MY bed and I won't stick him in a corner on the old hard floor!!
kim
Mom to Furgus & Mazy....and one day to Bailey!!!
talk about timing...
...Bailey has just this week decided that the couch is his bed! Both dogs have doggie beds but Bailey has discovered the couch and he knows this is much, much better than some dog bed...wouldn't you prefer it?! We are still holding our ground kicking poor Bailey off the couch and just when we think he understands.......hummmmmm 'why is the couch warm and i'm just now sitting down?'. It is the ONLY boundry Bailey has ever tested...he is adorable in pictures but OMG to spend a few moments with him....true lovability and he does not deserve 'Devil Dog' puppy rep at all! Prior to venturing on top of the couch Bailey got 'stuck' EVERYDAY under it. (seriously for TWO months now). He could wiggle under from the sides to nap but when he woke up he try to exit from the front (there is a wooden peice that makes this impossible). EVERYDAY...always once...never twice...I'd 'rescue' Bailey from the couch. He is a baby pup THANKFUL for not just couch rescues but showers you with licks always....put food down he licks/kisses you prior to eating. Bailey is DEVASTED by anything other than the softess, kindness, correction...he reminds me so much of 'Eeorye' from Winnie the Pooh. He is more baby now than he was when he first came home. He's like a fresh new baby with old soul spirit.
And then we have Barnum...all deserving of Devil Dog Dane pup...he is a hit with the under 10 yr old crowd and our door bells rings nighlty...'can Barnum come out and play'. My beloved neighor's child who happens to have ADD says,' he is just to bonkers and hyper!! Day and night personalities Barnum and Barnum!
Too cute!
They are too cute! You have got your hands full, but I am sure it is fun at the same time.

does anyone know of a camp bark in dallas
connor would love this and I have not found one here..... dont' know how Mo woudl do but he would love it
Besides camp...
...my trainer also does a evening class for kids and their K9's so if you don't find a camp you maybe able to find a training class designed for kids and their pups. The dogs don't have to know any obiendance...they just have to be under control by the child and non aggressive. It's a wonderful experience for both kid and pup and I hope you find one close to you:)
