I have a 10 month old baby that has come up with a big swollen spot on his face, and has been scratching all over the place... He has drawn blood in some spots. We just got back from the vet and won't know the results from the fungus culture until next week. The vet said the big spot on his face could be ringworm, but none of us have any thing that looks like ringworm and I have touched the spot several times. Has anybody else gone through this? He is also losing his fur in spots, it's not hot spots and do not believe it is mange since none of our other dogs are having issues. He has been spending a lot more time outside since I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and have VERY narrow hallways. He spends his nights outside for the most part, since he tends to get into things that he is not supposed to that makes his stomach upset. He generally spends most of the day in the house, and I don't know if there's animals coming around at night that could be carrying mites possibly?? If he does not get better, I am unfortunately going to have to find him a new home that can afford his vet care. I REALLY don't want to have to do that!!! I don't have any pictures to share at the moment.
