Hi all~
I just wanted to send an inspiring story about a GDRNT alum. We adopted Preacher (formerly Duffy) on June 6th of 1999. He was 10 months old and we have adored him every minute of every day. One year ago, June 12th of 2009, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. We began chemo almost immediately. He went through six months of chemo and aside from one difficult round it all went very well. We had a wonderful team of doctors. I am thrilled to report that one year past diagnosis and a little over a month away from his 12th birthday Preacher is doing great! We feel like the luckiest dog parents ever!! having a 12 year old Dane is by itslef a pretty amazing thing, and when you ass cancer to that, well, let's just say we know how lucky we are.
