i have not but I can see the need for it...
...I have not always been a stay at home mom and my precious cat, Simba, who was in that 'watch and monitor' phase for a few weeks would have been a great candadiate for an animal hospice. My husband an I staggered our lunch hours so he was not left alone too long but I'd have been so much happier (not to mention Simba himself) had he been supervised every moment in those last days. I'd love to know this service was available.
Pet sitter
I know one of our adopters just paid my petsitter to check in every few hours. ANother option would be to find a college or REALLY responsible HS student home for the summer to just hang out at your house for a flat rate a day. They might enjoy getting away from mom and dad but also could keep an eye on the pet. As far as I know the service doesn't exist. With petsitters costing $14-17 a 30-45 minute, I think to have someone all day would be really expensive and on top of vet bills, not feasible for most.

Maybe no reason for hospice?
Maybe there is not a need for hospice because usually when our pets get so old and sick and could die at any moment we usually help them cross over to the bridge. Obviously we don't do this with humans (sometimes I wonder if we should) then that is why hospice exists to medicate and make them as comfortable as possible until their body runs out. I am not saying that I don't think their is a need for hospice I was just thinking out loud and possibly becuase I helped my cat cross over the bridge yesterday. The vet said I could try and get some fluids in him and then feed him with a syringe and see if he gets better but to do that to an 18 year old cat didn't make any sense to me. Now if by hospice you mean that your animal is comfortable without a lot of measures and you just want someone to check on him then I am not sure hospice is the right name and a pet watcher would do. Anyway thoughts to consider. Someone posted on here and I am sure if you search you can find it an article on "When and How to humanely euthanize a companion animal."
