Jack and Sydeny have been picky eaters since day one. Besides Sydney's fear for my husband, this is been my biggest frustration with them since I adopted them a year and a half ago. Trust me, I am grateful for it not being worst situation. Anyhow, I did some calculations and I spend just over $200 per month on this premium dog food. I mix Canadae (really healthy kibble) with Merrick canned food. For the most part, they have eaten up their food. But now I am looking at both my budget and smelling their breath and I want to stop the canned food completely. I gag at the smell of their breath many days and moreso, my pocketbook is really not in a position to spend all this moola on wet food when *most* dogs eat dry food. So I went cold turkey yesterday morning and just gave them dry food. They have not eaten ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I have read that they will eat when they are hungry, but this is getting to be ridiculous. I feel like I am in some silly power struggle when you toddler refuses to eat his or her veggies or something. It has been 2 days since my healthy dogs have eaten and it is eating me up like you would not believe. What should I do? I can't give in and I just feel that it is possible for them to eat dry kibble like most dogs do. I know they like rice and I could mix it in, but then I am giving in to adding another ingredient when I want to ween them off of everything but the dry food. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
