I have a coworker with a puppy and has had two pretty bad episodes that the vet is calling colitis. She is fed a strict diet, good food, no table scraps or people food. This last time, she said that the dog yelped in pain out of nowhere before they took her in to the vet. The vet made the comment "Welcome to owning a great dane". He told her this was common with the breed.

I was just curious.... my girls have iron stomachs :)
