Anyone have experience with broken toes? Edgar broke one of his toes a couple weeks ago. It seems to be better than it was but it is still swollen and looks painful. It is a complete diagonal break. His vet recommended pain meds and crate rest and referred me to a surgeon. The surgeon does not want to do anything to it either due to possible complications, just crate rest and meds and follow up x-rays. I'm just curious to hear other experiences with this. This is a first for me.
