My 6 year old dane has become aware of shadows within the last year. The food and water bowls are in a corner of the room. The first time I witnessed this new "thing" he made a giraffe type of move and stretched his body/neck out as much as he could and then extended his tongue so it would barely touch the water. He got a few licks in and then jumped back. The one tonight prompting this post, was I was giving him the evening round of pumpkin to help stinky butt. He LOVES his pumpkin, but he wouldn't finish tonight because he kept seeing the shadow that was in front of him...of himself?! Guess I will always need to have the top light on in the room for him. No candle light dinners for him! HA!
