YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! We just got our approval for adoption today at 3pm. We are so excited. We'd like to thank Jana for coming to visit us. It was truly a pleasure and we enjoyed the time she was here. After she left, my husband and I got to talking about and internet browsing what we would need to buy for a Dane. Which led to the crate debate. What type do we get? Petmate (air travel ) crate or just a collapsing crate? The crate we have for Sasha is an enclosed petmate traveling crate. With her carsick issues, we had to get one that is safe for travel. Or is this something we wait to purchase until we talk to the foster?
We need raised feeding bowl - Jana gave us an excellent suggestion for that one.
A bed -
Toys - which are dane safe? or is there such a thing?
Will I need drool towels?
What type of leash is best? leather, retractable, or nylon?
I am sure there are tons of things I am missing.... I've never had a K-9 child bigger than 65lbs so..... I just wondering if there are any suggestions or advice? I know it could still be weeks or months until we get our new family member, but I like to be as prepared as possible. As you all have been through this before........ I would love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Nicki
