Dear Cassie

Dear Cassie,

Two of my Italian Greyhounds go absolutely bonkers when the attic stairs are pulled down. I'm not talking "a little freaked out" - they literally have a fit. Like a seizure sort of fit. Falling on the ground, eyes rolling in the back of their heads, spit flying out of their mouths while they try to bark while their little bodies are contorted into weird positions. One of them will - no joke, I can get this on video if you want - will grab onto my leg, wrap his paws around it and try to keep me from going up the stairs while scream-barking. What's up with this? I have four dogs. Two do this, two don't. What can I do to calm them down?
