HI all,
Hope you are enjoying the summer months. We took our danes to our acerage. They had a blast running around and getting muddy. However, upon returning, I discovered Sterling, our 1 yr old Harlequin, has blistered three of her pads on 3 of her paws. It looks like it hurts and the skin is just raw where the blisters were. The best thing I can think of to do is keep it clean and lubed up. Any suggestions or tips??
Thanks!
Kendra

Keep clean
Duke had a sore on his paw last week. I just tried to keep it clean and keep him off of it. It isn't hard with him because he is pretty lazy. He wouldn't stop liking it and it seemed to irritate it so I put a old sock on his foot and taped it on. I would take it off when I could watch him and let it air out. Within a few days the sore begin to scab up and heal and now it seems to be almost healed. :) Look for post "sock boy" and you can see his pathetic looking face when I put the sock on him.

When I had Tug he had really raw spots on his elbows and a couple raw patches on his body too, Nina gave me some beeceuticles skin balm that was so good, the redness seemed to go away within a few days. I still use it on all kinds of skin issues.

glad
to hear the beeceutical cream worked. i have some more if anyone else needs it. the company was nice enough to send us some for free to see if it would work on our foster pup skin issues.
if we get feedback on good results, i will let them know that it really works so that they can add it to their testimonials.
btw, they have a line of all natural products created from bees. visit healthfromthehive.com to see their products.
