The meds that Bella are on have been doing their job. It's a good thing I teach school and have been off for summer. The lasix was making her get up and pee several times a night so we would take turns sleeping on the couch so we would be nearby to let her out. School starts back and luckily she has put off enough fluids and been on the lasix long enough that she's adjusted and isn't having to go so often and usually sleeps through the night now. She has really trimmed down and is a lot more playful and less grumpy with Landry the lab. It's sometimes hard to believe she's got this heart problem until you go and take her for a walk. She tires quickly and usually only goes as far as the end of the block and back. She's been enjoying going out at night when it's cool though and especially likes it because the neighborhood cats are out and she gets crazy in a mad dash and trees them. She found a lizard in the light pole so now every evening she checks out the bushes the cats came out of and then the light pole looking for her lizard. I hope she stays this way a long time, but one of us may have to get a part time job to pay for her meds which are running around $400 a month. Oh well, whatever we have to do is what we'll do. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement!
Jack
