Valentiney-Hiney

I can't let a Valentine's Day go by without sending some love to my most-favoritest-foster-ever, Molly. Our best guess is that Molly was hit by a car (the surgeon said that only being hit by a car or a fall from a 100ft cliff could cause the injury she had), but whatever happened to her caused one of her back legs to be out of socket. Like Ruby (from the front page of the website), Molly's injury was old and her muscles atrophied. It took a lot of work - and the expert care from the same fantastic surgeon that worked on Ruby - but Molly eventually healed and she now lives the good life with Paul and Phyllis in LA. I think I would die if she wasn't with them - I know Molly will never, ever want for anything and their updates and pictures keep my heart happy.

For those of you who missed Molly's story the first time 'round, this should fill you in:

Back in the days of the old discussion board, when Molly was new to rescue, we had a discussion about what her middle name should be. Lots of great options were given, but we all fell in love with Molly Malone. Then, not long after that, a heart was discovered near the site of her injury. After that, she was known as Molly Maloney Baloney Valentiney Hiney. I swear to dog that she came to me everytime I called her by her full name. Of course, she probably just heard "Molly blah blah blah blah". ;-)

Here are some "before" pictures of Miss Valentiney Hiney. You can see her "after" pictures in posts made by Bellanca or SillyPK.

ahhhhhh

sniff sniff how sweet....

Gotta ask

Jamie, is that your butt in the picture of molly.......or does your hubby paint his toe nails????

Hahahaha sorry :)

Ha!

Ha to both questions! Technically, that's my hip, which Molly was attached to during her recovery. As for my husband, he has been the recipient of numerous nap-time pedicures courtesy of my daughter...so it IS possible that those could be his toes... ;-)

Molly

Well, I was bad this Valentine's day.........didn't get our girl's picture posted......especially for Jamie. Jamie ommited the part where she did the rehab on Molly walking her miles everyday for a year. We (Phyllis and I ) have such a hard part......we get to enjoy Molly every day. Yes, we do see that she gets whatever she needs/wants, but......Molly is where she is because of GDRNT and Jamie. We never forget.......we just don't say thanks quite enough.

Phyllis and I are on the run constantly.....both busy at work and then reveling with our babies when we get home. My day starts around 3:30 or 4a.m. every day and we usually end up crashing around 8ish p.m.. Poggy likes to feed around midnight for some reason.........sigh......but we do it.

The picture that ended up on the pet web article that jamie sent it......shows me and Molly napping. Today, she still sleeps right beside me curled up under my arm every night.....all night.....of course can't forget Phyllis, Jakie, Poggy, Ellie, Socrates and Abby.......they are all there too.

I have to do better at posting pics of the gang. Its hard to get NEW pics that don't look like the ones I've already posted LOL. I don't want to bore everyone with the same looking pics.

Thanks for your post Jamie...........we hadn't seen that one in the middle....poor Molly. Hard to believe now that she is a nice 110lbs :) and you can't really tell a difference in her legs unless you really look.

Aww

That made me want to look on Katie and identify spots her her that could be an object.... I will post for sure if I see some boots or tennis shoes for running LOL

Miss Molly is really a very lucky girl that GDRNT saved her and then got adopted by the best adoptive family around! She is where alot of us wish we were!

Miss Molly

I was thinking of our special Valentiney-Hiney today. She is such a pretty girl and now lives in dane heaven with the La Herd. She deserves all the spoiling that she surely must recieve with Paul and Phyllis.
