I bought a large package of chicken breasts at Sam's this weekend and decided to cook them tonight in two batches of seven each. The first batch was done in time for dinner and then put in the fridge. The second batch wasn't done until about an hour later, so I left them on the back of the stove to cool before putting them in the fridge, with several skillets/pots in front so the "dogs" wouldn't be able to reach them. LOL. Well, I went to put them in the fridge and this is what I found. She enjoyed 7 chicken breasts, a whole onion, but she apparently did not care for the carrots and celery. Oh, well, I should have known better. By the way, the only one out and about was Mary Kate aka Queen Poggy -- and she had carrot and celery on the bed next to her in the garden room -- she said someone planted the evidence there, yeah, right. LOL

oh my, someone will be
oh my, someone will be sleeping very well or very bad (rumble rumble). She must have thought you made the chicken for her and the veggies for you ;)
Oh my...what a sneak!
She may be deaf but her nose sure works great!
We see how you spoil all your babies.....we didn't know that Poggy was being fed so well;)

ohhh
I think Eddie is looking down on Poggy and giving her bad ideas. I can not tell you how many dinners I lost that way!!!! Get ready for some stinky toots too!!! You know, I could never get really mad when he did this. Ok, sometimes I did. But it always just put this sick smile on my face. Typical dogs....
ewww
dane bellys and onions - ain't gonna be pleasant.
i hope you're able to put her outside for a while.
when we first got cowgirl (our 1st dane), we left a bowl of chips and salsa on the counter and went to the movies with friends. came home to find all of it gone and the bowl pushed into the sink, luckily, since it was glass. we also found a very empty bowl of water.
glad the corning ware is so durable. if it broke, it could have been a real disaster.
good luck with the belly rumbles.
That's Poggy!
Does not surprise me the least, and honestly, she probably won't have any ill effects....this is a dog that ate over a dozen gooey butter bars, saran wrap and all and had no issues from it. I think she has a stomach of steel.
Sorry about the loss of chicken, but I know Poggy is pretty darn pleased with herself!

Sara, Your right
I don't think she even belched after eating the chicken and onion. And she even got me up about 2:00 am for "milk and cookies." She is in the habit of waking us in the middle of the night for a milk bone fix and such an exotic diner didn't change her habit. Oh, well, we usually have to get up for another reason anyway.

Thats too funny.... at least
Thats too funny.... at least she didnt break the cookware!
My IG is the thief at my house but he eats some freaky stuff. Once he ate a 3lb bag of peanut m&m's. Another time he ate 6 Paxil, a package of Red Vines and a Giant Symphony Bar at once. Recently he ate 100 Halls Cherry cough drops with wrappers. He has yet to be sick from any of the escapades!!!
Canine Sweet Tooth
So far Dozer doesn't counter surf, and rarely wants "people food" treats. My others... boy.. totally different story.
Koda.. He has a sweet tooth. He will leave a steak on your plate on the coffee table but don't you dare leave any Sprees, Skittles, or peppermint Life Savers in an open dish or they are all gone! He also likes grapes, apples, and hamburger dill chip pickles!
Tonks on the other hand leaves all that fru fru stuff alone. Steak and baked potatoes with butter, sour cream and bacon bits are his favorite "side dish". He is also picky about his steak sauce. He doesn't care for Worchestershire sauce, but loves regular A1. And.. Heinz 57 is preferred over BBQ sauce.
