Our sweet Kenya has passed on

We had to help our sweet girl across the bridge a few days ago. Our hearts are broken. Among many health issues, she had a massive tumor in her lungs and was suffering. Something we just couldn't bear ... for her to suffer one more day after all she'd been through. Kenya was one of the danes from the Terrell puppymill, and while she never fully recovered from the mental and physical trauma of living most of her life in fear and neglect, she did eventually learn how to have fun, play, and even wag her tail! I will never forget the first time she wagged her tail or greeted me at the door when I came home from the store. Such simple gestures brought tears to my eyes. We were so blessed to have her in our family.
I want to say thank you to GDRNT , the foster parents and all the volunteers. Not only do you save the lives of helpless animals, but you enrich the lives of the people who adopt them more than you can imagine.
The world is a much better place because of all you do.
Carol, Andy, and Big Kenny
PS. Big Kenny misses Kenya, but is doing fantastic otherwise!
