Nolan (once called Alphie)

In January I adopted a very special Dane named Alphie (who I now call Nolan) and cannot say enough about this guy. A better mannered and wonderful dog I have never met...and neither has anyone else we come into contact with. He goes EVERYWHERE with me (baseball games, restaurants, friends houses, festivals, doggie day care...) and time and again he proves why this breed is not only special but wonderful, gentle, and just great! We have yet to meet anything that doesn’t like him and that he doesn’t like (well, except bicycles...those seem to really give him stress!). Cats, Horses, Kids, Men, Women, Good Dogs, Grumpy Dogs, Dogs that don’t like any other dogs...they all LOVE Nolan. He is just PERFECT!

I want to thank everyone involved in our adoption (Kim, Courtney & Katie, and Nora specifically) and let everyone know that Nolan is doing well and very happy. His personality has been emerging over the last few months and about March he really started to feel confident in his home. We have started an obedience class and clicker training for a more formal training and I am learning tons. Nolan enjoys the class because he gets string cheese and chicken livers (sometimes I substitute beef tips which really gets him excited - he will occasionally do spinning donuts in the parking lot when he cannot control his excitement).

Thanks for everything and please enjoy the pictures below!

Regards,

Denise, Nolan, and Tillie (the cat)
