All I can say is that Hannah hit the JACKPOT with her new Dad!!!
Hi Jana,
I am so happy you reached out. I have been extremely busy lately and have intended on sharing an update.
Hannah is fantastic. I think it's been 4 months now and she has not been on her own for more than 6 hours. Daddy must stop spoiling her. Daddy gives her a bath once a week with a shampoo from Petsmart called Black Velvet that makes her looks like an Arabian Horse that just finished a race. Daddy won't buy wood floors until her nails are shorter so we visit the vet for a trim every 2 weeks and take late nite runs when it's cool out side. She loves going to the office everyday and is a big hit with every visitor except the FedEx guy who is afraid of his own shadow. She has become friends with the family of ducks that live in our city yard and even the beavers are less threatened. She is anxious for a trip to a Doggie park but Daddy is nervous about that. At least 3 days a week we do an off leash romp through the cemetary 2 blocks away. Hannah prays for the lost souls while I read the names on the tombstones. She is a huge hit at all of the stores we shop at and I'm told that she will be Pet of the month at Wells Fargo. She is on a first name basis with people all over town. Even the Mayor shook her hand recently and asked us to be judges at a BBQ Cook-Off contest.Such Carisma! Unfortunately we were on our way out of town. Daddy just bought her a lake house also so she will get to further her Alpha skills with all of the local male dogs. She has started licking her paws nearly non-stop and is looking for a suggestion of what to do about that. Her worst habit is that she will not go into the yard (or anywhere for that matter) without being escorted. Daddy is not sure if that is a curse or a blessing. We both agree it's no fun to go pee in the rain. One last story. She was with Grandpa at his lake house when the worst of the spring storms whipped through in April cuz Daddy had to go to NY. In the night when the storm crashed through she jumped into bed with Grandpa and pinned him to the pillow until it blew over hours later. Grandpa is happy she is visiting the nail spa regularily but now closes his bedroom door just in case. :)
