Sweet Freddie (renamed Maximus) is doing great. He's such a sweet, well behaved boy - I can't believe it took him so long to get adopted. He doesn't jump, beg for food, doesnt try to get on the furniture, ignores the cat (but not the cat food), and doesn't pull on walks (now that we use a halti/head collar).
Apparently there was some debate about his age, with the shelter vet saying he was 6, and then your vet putting him around 4. My vet agrees with the 4 years old estimate. She says his teeth don't have much tartar or staining. He weight 121 lbs and it took about five minutes of trying and coaxing to get him to step on the scale!
Maximus loves to go out to the pet store or Home Depot. Most people are flat out shocked to see a dog that big. People always ask me "will he bite"..as if I'd bring him in the store if he was mean our out of control! I saw a lady at the vets office taking a picture of him with her phone lol.
Anyway - just wanted to let you know that he's doing great. Here's a picture of him watching "Animal Cops Houston". He gets very perplexed about why he can't find the dogs even though he hears them barking. He searches behind the TV and under the stand to no avail....
