Hello fellow dane lovers!

Just wanted to drop you a line to give you an update on Chief. Someone emailed me a while back requesting an update from us. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here.

Chief has come along way since I first got him 5 mo ago! We get out & socialize every day and have so much more confidence now! We get out to Red Bud Isle at least 4 times a wk, and we just love playing & exploring. I was THRILLED when he decided to start swimming!!!! We don't fetch..or sit.., but we do leap into the car ON OUR OWN now (THANK THE LORD), and he is just a great dog. Now, if he would just stop eating my shoes!!!. . .

We went to Emma Long Park the other evening and it was a blast! Truly a beautiful spot.
Are any of you folks in Austin?

One more thing,
Chief has always been VERY nervous and anxious around men. Even when my father would come to my door, he would flip out, go to the bathroom right then & there, & would hide behind me. He has reallly relaxed, and even uses his voice sometimes!

& yes, he has oodles of toys, but cares more for my shoes! Any advice on this situation? I dismissed it the first several times ("he has just been so good!", i'd tell myself), but after the 8th (or is it 10th?), I find myself standing here in an old pair of shoes that are way too small for me. I can no longer ignore it!
