Bubba Chad is at the Bridge....

Well, my sweet boy is gone. As many of you know, Bubba Chad has been battling lymphoma. He was in a partial remission after a few weeks, but it didn't last long. Luckily, he was doing GREAT and had spunk and an appetite and pretty much got spoiled rotten. He started getting a little weaker in his back legs and I have told him to let me know it was time. This morning he did.
I am so thankful to William for coming to my house and helping me get him in the car and followed me to Dr. B's. William stayed with us in the room with us when Chad went to the Bridge. It was great comfort to have someone there that understood, though I know it's tough to help any dog to the Bridge. Not exactly a great way to start the day. William being there was truly a wonderful gesture and so much appreciated.
I will write a tribute to my sweet boy later today and post it. I just wanted to thank all of my GDRNT family for their support. Susan and William first and foremost. Heather and Cassie for calling to check on me. Dr. B for helping him to the Bridge and everyone else along the way that has loved my boy Bubba Chad. He was a great ambassador to the breed and I am thankful he was with me 6 1/2 years of his 9 1/2 here on earth.
I am relieved he is not in pain and I know he is at the Bridge romping with all our dogs that left before him.
Now, go give your pups a hug and pat and an extra treat.
Sara
