I received the below from Hannah's foster Dad and wanted to share.
Hannah is fantastic!!!! Except her nails need to be clipped and she won't let daddy do it and I don't want to whittle away at that issue. better just to let the vet do it. she got a bath last night and always prances like she is only 5 lbs afterwards. If she were a real woman you would swear I just presented her with Cartier diamonds. I would do that anyways if I know she wouldn't scratch them off her collar. we have had a very busy year. Actually it is almost a year and I have never had a moment regret. she is a joy to have. still is at the office and almost everywhere else I go daily. the post office bends the rules with me and have declared her a "working dog" don't try that at Garden Ridge...they are very firm on that issue. that's ok...they just won't get the business. not a whole lot of excitement that I can think of. have some fun photos I could share if i were at the right computer. mental note.... i bought a lake home this past july and she is just 8 doors down from my parents dog now and has had alot of great off-leash bonding play time with the neighborhood pack up there. unlike all of the others she never just goes off on her own. she always wants to be near me and never leaves my lots. she gets runs most days around the in town neighborhood and has befriended the Mascovy ducks that dwell in the pond in my back yard in town. she wants to play with them but knows they are not excited about that. last week a coyotee got 2 of them and so they are a bit jumpy. poor things. in October I went to a business cionference in Hawaii and she had her own Au Pair / House sitter come stay. This woman is a friend of the family and has done that for many years and she said hannah was the best dog she ever cared for. you would think she's buttering me up but not the kind of person to make a comment like that so I was shocked. She returns around Easter when I go away again for a bit. Other than that Hannah is my bed mate nightly. we had issues with that for a while. finally just gave up on the dog bed on the floor thing because she just wouldn't stop begging me. the biggest issue was that she would bark or growl at me when I moved my feet under the covers and that wasn't really working with her exhausted daddy. we finally came to an unspoken understanding i guess cuz she hasn't done it in a while. she takes her entire half of the king size bed and towards the am she inches me over to the edge and sleeps sideways. I generally open my eyes and her nose is on my pillow also. too cute but those damn hairs and eye snot drive me crazy so I change the sheets several times a week. she goes for her annual check up in just a few weeks so I'll share the feedback on that.
that's all for now....late for an appointment......
