Ok so I know alot of our homes are mixed with Big and small dogs. But since there is a stigma on "Big dogs being more aggressive" I am sharing some interesting articles to read.
NOTE: I am only posting for an interesting read. Not to induce controversy on this board. :)

I totally agree. My
I totally agree. My terriers are very aggressive in my mind and I do not trust them around strangers and definately children. I just about always lock them when people come over. My mother has always had small dogs and aside from being agressive and nippy, they tend to bark a lot at nothing!
Yeah...
My Boston kicks the Dane's hiney on a daily basis.
Yeah I have my own devil dog
A Yorkie named Bentley. And he is NOT good with kids. If a little one even walks around him, he charges and growls and then who knows. I am sure he would bite too... I lock him up too.
And then theres Katie, I can't even get her to use her teeth to pull food off of a fork she is soo gentle with her mouth!
Me too...
My JR terrior, Charlie, has the long hair wire coat and is the cutiest little thing but her looks are deceiving. We knew before adopting her that she had a bite history so we are extremly cautious with children/anyone we encounter. She has fearful aggression of some people/things which makes her very unpredictable. It's frustrating because when I walk her she is a kid MAGNET and I always just say, 'she is not friendly and she may snap/bite you'. Not to mention Charlie herself is often tail tucked and manuavering away or between me legs. I can't tell you how many times a PARENT replies with something like, 'oh don't worry, my son/daughter has a dog and all dogs just love him/her.' Meanwhile, people are always cautious around the Dane puppies and ask if they are friendly before going anywhere near them. And they do the happiness dance at the sight of anyone...tail wagging, shaking, twisting, tap dancing, all while almost sitting (I'm trying to teach them to sit for greetings). Oh well, I've been saying for eight years now that I just need to toughen up charlie's image somehow...she is too darn cute!
