Looks like Oprah is FINALLY getting the message about adoption, puppy mills, etc. See this quick blurb I found. I will be Tivo'ing it Friday!
"Oprah Winfrey will be using her late, beloved cocker spaniel one last time – as the dedicatee of a show investigating abuses at puppy mills.
"Sophie gave me 13 years of unconditional love. She was a true love in my life," says Winfrey on Friday's show. The spaniel died last month from kidney failure; she wasn't from a puppy mill, but Winfrey says she would look to adopt from an animal shelter."

Thanks
Thanks for the heads up...I'll be watching!
Ya'll watch for me
i saw the preview of this today and ya'll are going to have to watch this one and tell me about it. I don't think I can handle watching it...
ditto
the preview was hard to watch... but if she can reach anyone it will be worth it.... apparently Lisa Ling did the hidden camera work....... I hope she can start a good conversation and educate some folks
K
It should be really good
I love Lisa Ling's investigations and I am really glad Oprah is on the bandwagon as she has a such a HUGE following and it should really help educate folks. I got ticked at her when she went to a breeder for her three goldens...while it wasn't a puppy mill, it was a backyard breeder she visited.
I read on another blog that Ft. Worth animal control is somehow invloved on the story, so I will definitely be watching to see if they talk about N. TX and all the bad puppy mills/breeders around here.
