I'm trying to get a central location for my family and my "man's" family which turns out to be the ruidoso, nm area. i've never wanted a big wedding or actually a wedding period, but my dad requested I have a real wedding. So here's the dilema....I need a place to get married!! I looked online and the cheapest place I could find was $1,000! There will only be about 25 people there, with none of them staying overnight. So I don't need/want rent a whole lodge. Not to mention I'M CHEAP! I'm contemplating just finding a j.p. or someone to marry us in some park, or possibly mcdonald's parking lot! Calgon, take me away! Any suggestions would be appreciated! i'm not set on ruidoso, just that vacinity within an hour.

here is my 2cents... presumably you are only getting married ONCE so you might as well make it memorable.... it doesn't need to be fancy a park or pretty courthouse.... someone with a decent camera some flowers and a pretty dress .... a picnic with nice sandwiches or burgers is all you need! This is just your family and friends sharing in this thing you will only do once.... so make it a fun memory you will not regret it~!
